The National Committee for Latin and Greek strives to offer some key ideas for an overview of every educator’s need to understand aspects of our shared pedagogical and cultural history and work to present language and culture to our students with effective teaching strategies and methodologies and in a way that teaches respect, leads to accurate historical perspectives, builds inter- and intra-cultural competence, and values and supports the identity and contribution of every student and colleague.
On each page, we offer some introductory remarks or reflections, plus a list of selected, mostly recent, resources on issues and topics. These include books, articles, videos, presentations, and topical websites.
NB: Our pages are a work in progress, being updated regularly. We welcome news of other important resources and emerging websites and documents that are relevant to our purposes here. Many more resources are available on any of the websites listed in our highlights. We encourage readers to explore these websites but with due discretion. Some webpages and sites also offer resources that cross over into multiple topics. Our recommendations refer only to specifically cited materials.
Please read and observe our "Appropriate Site Use" request below.
Our webpages highlight teaching perspectives and resources on:

These resources are meant for teachers and educators and should be shared with undergraduates and K-12 students with careful consideration of their age and the nature of the content. Since our pages are being updated constantly, we encourage you to check back regularly and see the most recent entries. We welcome any news of other resources and emerging or important resources that we have not listed. Because we reference some websites that are actively maintained by other organizations or groups who add or change content daily, our recommendation is only for the specific items we have listed here. If you have any concerns about a listing or website, please contact us.
